... if I'm going to manage updating this regularly! The main reason for the lack of blogs was Harrogate, and getting ready for it. It has now been and gone and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was such a good experience and the stand look very swish.

Harrogate has now got me getting excited for the other thing I have coming up in my work diary, the next one being...We Make London, at Chelsea Town Hall (26th June)! Very exciting, I'm hoping to get a new collection up and running for then and its very much on in progress. I am dedicating the month of May to making, so I shall rename it Mayking! I can not wait!! I have so many ideas buzzing around in my head and can't wait to set them free. I made 3 personalised bangles today and don't want to send any of them off as I love them too much, it's just a shame none of them are my name!

I also have a new logo, featured at the top of the page, and a little logo too. New packaging, catalogues, stickers and lots lots more...organised or what...or what I think!!

Next on the list are: uploading more photos, making my website live, making lots of new beautiful things, getting excited for summer and sales and spreading the ...rf...bm... love!

So...updating my blog regularly hasn't happened so far!

So here goes...

Hope everyone had a Brilliant Christmas and Happy New Year to you all, I hope it brings you lots of joy, happiness, creativity and beautiful jewellery!

This year I am determined to make a good go of it, I already have a couple of galleries lined up and websites and there may also be a collaboration in the pipe line, who knows! I have loads of new designs which I am desperate to start making but I am having to make myself wait until I have got the other (not as fun) stuff done and sorted. I've recently found out that I am rubbish at forms, I just go all empty in my head when I look at important forms at the minute which isn't the best but oh well! Maybe one day that will change, but it would be really useful if it was sometime soon!!

I had a photoshoot with my friend earlier in the week which resulted in some beautiful photos! Which I must upload soon, they are of my work on a light background but done by a very good photographer (instead of me) and with a very good macro lens, so they look amazing!! I also had a little bit of a brain storm about websites with my friends boyfriend so soon I may have a proper, proper website...like proper! And today I finally joined twitter so hopefully I will keep that more up to date. Twitter only lets you have 15 letters which was a tad annoying as Red Fox Blue Monkey is 16 so if you look for me I will be on as

(I had to sacrifice the E, I'm sorry E!) I shall try and link this somehow but I doubt that will happen until I actually learn how to use it!

My brain is currently full to the brim of ideas and design and pretty things so I am tending to write notes and lists on anything I can get my hands on just to make sure I don't forget these ideas, but this means I keep finding little bits of paper around with random words on which meant something at some point but I don't know what now!

Ooo something else that happened...we had the pop-up shop in Birmingham, it went really well so that was a good confidence boost, publicity event and selling opportunity! I also did a couple of christmas fairs, which were fun but very cold, in Nottingham and Uttoxeter, these also proved to be good selling opportunities, but next time I shall wear more layers...brrrr!

Right, I think that is everything updated, I intend to update this more regularly but if not Happy Easter!!

Strike A Pose...

Today, a group of us from Design Space had a photo shoot for 'Brilliantly Birmingham'. I think its the start of something very exciting, which will result in a pop-up shop in the centre of Birmingham just in time for christmas!

I've also been in the workshop, busy making lots of pretty pieces and working on a few new collections that will no doubt end up on here at some point soon. Think birds, flowers and cute furry animals!

'Butterfly' Collection

The 'Butterfly' collection is where it all started, many of my other ranges are as a result of these earrings. Above is both the small and large set. The small being approximately 15mm high and the large being 20mm high. Both set are completely 925 silver, including posts and backs. The butterflies are folded down the centre to make the earrings 3D. Below are a few close up photographs of the large earrings.

The latter two photos are of hook earrings, these were designed for people who preferred hooks to studs. The hook is hand formed from straight wire, and the butterflies are currently cut by hand. These butterflies are also folded to create a 3D element.

'The Escape' Collection

This range is inspired by the beautiful structure of old Victorian glass covers used in taxidermy. The loop which supports the structure is a little bit smaller than a 5 pence piece, making this a dainty pendant. Each butterfly is hand cut and placed at a random angle, meaning that each piece is different from the next. The chain is silver and can be ordered in either 18 inches or 20 inches long. The pendant can be finished either matt or polished.

'Caught You' Collection

The 'Caught You' ring is available in all sizes, constructed of a U-shape in thick 925 silver wire. The ring is then completed with a loop of beaded silver wire and a hand cut silver butterfly. Each butterfly is different as they are all hand drawn and cut. The ring in the photograph has a matt finish but a polished finish is also available.

Hung on a 20 inch silver chain, this large butterfly pendant is quite the eye catcher. The silver beaded loop is a similar size to a 2 pence piece and the butterfly is approximately 20mm in length. The butterfly can be ordered folded at different angles of flight. The chain has the customary T-bar fasten which mirrors the pendant itself.

'In The Beginning' Collection

'In the Beginning' is a small, quirky collection which was developed from the 'Butterfly' range. The main loop on the earrings is a similar size to a 5p coin, and the caterpillar and butterfly both measure approximately 15mm in length at the widest point. The earring hooks are hand bent and are left longer for both security and as part of the design. A very comfortable pair of silver earrings.

Above is the matching necklace, that can be worn as a set or separately. With an 18 inch silver chain, the necklace rests nicely on the chest. The butterfly is slightly bigger on the necklace than on the earrings, and is approximately 14mm high.

Rings may also soon be available.

'Dragonfly' Collection

A minimalist outline/doodle is what inspired this collection; I wanted to create a feeling of movement and add something a little different to the design, so I decided to fold the wings to create a 3D pair of earrings.

The body measures approximately 15mm long and the wings have a span of about 20mm. A dainty little pair of silver earrings, they make a great feature in any jewellery box and look even better in your ear lobes!

There will soon be more styles of jewellery added to this collection, if you want anything in particular just send me an email and I can see what I can do!

'Pebble' Collection

'Pebble' is a small range of earrings, available in 3 different sizes. Made of solid 925 silver and with silver posts, they make lovely simple pair of earrings.

Small (shown in the forefront/bottom of the photograph) are approximately 4mm at the widest point (similar size to studs that you normally get when earrings are first pierced).

Medium (shown in the background/top of the photograph) are approximately 7mm at the widest point.

Large (not shown) are approximately 9mm at the widest point.

Each set is different from the next as the nature in which they are made relies on the silver to find its own shape.

Can be worn all day, everyday and I often do!

'Twiggy' Collection

All of the pieces in the 'Twiggy' collection are unique, each twig is hand pick and cast in 925 silver, meaning that no two pieces are the same. The twig on the bracelet also doubles up as the catch on the fastening, the bracelet is 7 inches in length and the chain is also 925 silver.

The 'Twiggy' necklace is 18 inches long, the twig is on average 2 inches in length and is hung on a thicker chain, for extra security.

'Twiggy:Rested'

'Rested' is a small range inside the 'Twiggy' Collection. The trademark butterfly is delicately rested on to the twig. Each necklace will be unique as not only will the twig change but the butterfly will be positioned at different angles too. Again the chain is thicker and is 18 inches in length with the twig being on average 2 inches in length; the butterfly is just short of 1 inch long.

Brooches, earrings, cufflinks and rings may soon be available in this collection.

'Stacked' Collection

'Stacked' is a set of 3 rings, 1 thick band and 2 thinner, pearled bands. These can be worn in any combination and can also be increased into a set of 5 rings, adding one extra of each. All rings are 925 silver, and can be made in any size. A nice little set to add to any finger.

'Bloomin' Gorgeous' Collection

This is the large, double necklace in the 'Bloomin' Gorgeous' range, each flower is hand constructed from silver wire which means that no two flowers are exactly the same. The large bud is approximately 1.5 inches high and the smaller stands at 1 inch high. A small solid silver bead helps to keep the flower secure and adds a little extra detail.

Both the single and double necklaces are 24 inches in length and are finished with the customary T-bar fasten. Like all of the jewellery I produce, they are made using 925 sterling silver.

Watch this space as they may soon be available as earrings too!

'Beau' Collection

This collection is based on the silhouette of a bow, keeping the jewellery simple but cute.

The top two images are of the same necklace; at 18 inches in length this necklace hangs neatly on the chest. Matt finished 925 silver, with a T-bar fasten. Available in a longer length if requested.

The bottom image is of a pair of 'Beau' earrings, slightly smaller in size than the pendant, around the size of a 5 pence piece. Silver stud fittings. Quirky, cute earrings.

...uploading photographs hasn't happened quite as quick as I would of like but nevermind.

I have now taken photos of all the recent work that I've done and will start the task of uploading shortly. Also, I have currently been blogging to myself as I didn't want to make this place public until the photos were loaded as it would be a bit boring without. So that means that people may soon be reading this and looking at my work...PRESSURE!!

So since the last time I wrote, I've been a bit of a busy bee; I've managed to secure a space in an amazing little gallery in Stratford-Upon-Avon, 'Love Handmade'. I've also made lots of new, beautiful pieces, all currently aimed towards women but the mens range shall soon be kicking in once again...as soon as I pluck up the courage!!

All that's left for me to do now is upload the photos, I'll be putting a description along side, so if anyone wants to know anymore about any of them or is interested in buying then just drop me an email. I'd love to know what people think about my work...i think!

...This is blogging!

I thought it was finally time that I got my bum into gear and got started on some sort of website. As I'm low on funds I decided a blog would be the best way forward. Hopefully, I'll be keeping this site up to date with all the new things I make and sell, and it will also keep everyone in the loop with where I am and what I'm doing.

Now, I'm not the most computer savvy person so you will have to keep that in mind when looking at this!

At the moment I'm making my jewellery from the studio which I have created at one end of my bedroom. I'm really happy working from here, everything is where I need it and I'm managing to produce things that I didn't think I'd be able to from such a limited workshop. I blimin' love it!! But even more exciting, in October I move, said workshop/studio, to Birmingham Jewellery Quarter!! I'm so very excited for this, I have a work bench in 'Design Space' which is a council run thing, which helps new designers start their own company. So by this time next year I should be well on my way to being my own boss...scary stuff!!

Getting this opportunity has come as a massive, much needed confidence boost and I'm very grateful for it. Fingers crossed I can just keep up the good work.

I'm now starting to write lists (one of my favourite past times) of things that I need to get/do to make myself more professional, i.e boxes, more business cards (ran out), professional logos and websites. The boxes I've found somewhere but am yet to afford and the rest I am saving up for a company called Neon Gravy to design for me. Their stuff is amazing!! Truely amazing! I used to go to college with two of the three guys that have started the company, and was so impressed when I saw what they are producing. Just beautifully quirky, very fun yet brilliantly stylish. I seriously cannot tell you how good it is, you must find it and check it out!

Right so enough of the waffling, photos of my work shall soon be uploaded (hopefully!). I'd love any constructive feedback and if anyone is interested in any of the pieces just holla at me.
